Overview
This course develops the practical reasoning needed to automate selected Android or iOS mobile journeys with Appium while managing drivers, capabilities, application state and mobile-specific interactions. Rather than treating mobile test automation with appium as a list of terms, it links mobile automation scope and appium architecture, environment setup, drivers, clients and appium doctor and sessions and w3c capabilities to realistic product risks and team workflows. Learners configure a driver and client, inspect elements, handle gestures and system behaviour, design stable waits, organise reusable screens and run tests against an emulator or approved device setup. Learners compare alternatives, document assumptions and check results against explicit expectations. They create a focused mobile automation project and learn where device diversity, platform behaviour and environment cost require deliberate scope.
