Overview
This course develops the practical reasoning needed to test cloud-native application behaviour across managed services, distributed infrastructure, scaling, resilience and configuration change. Rather than treating cloud testing for sdet as a list of terms, it links cloud testing scope and shared-responsibility context, architecture maps, managed services and dependency risk and infrastructure and configuration validation concepts to realistic product risks and team workflows. Participants map a cloud system, automate service and deployment checks, validate health and scaling signals, inject controlled failure assumptions and review identity, data, cost and observability constraints. Learners compare alternatives, document assumptions and check results against explicit expectations. The course distinguishes testing cloud-based functionality from merely running browser tests on remote machines.

Learning Outcomes
- Map cloud services, dependencies and shared-responsibility risks.
- Design tests for managed-service and configuration boundaries.
- Automate deployment health and post-release verification.
- Evaluate scaling, throttling and degraded-service behaviour.
- Protect test identities, secrets and data in cloud environments.
- Use logs, metrics and traces to explain failures and residual risk.
