Overview
Teams create better software when quality activities are deliberate, explainable and proportionate to risk. Bug Reporting & Defect Management helps participants capture defects as reproducible, decision-ready evidence and manage them through triage, resolution, retest and closure through a progression covering failure, error, defect and incident terminology, reproduction and reporting anatomy. Participants reproduce realistic failures, separate observed and expected behaviour, assess severity and priority, attach useful evidence and role-play a triage discussion with developers and product stakeholders. Each exercise asks learners to interpret evidence, refine their approach and communicate findings in language that technical and non-technical stakeholders can use. They learn how strong reporting reduces investigation time, avoids unproductive blame and creates data that can support root-cause analysis and process improvement.
